Slang expressions, insults and mild profanity (in Esperanto) that are part of the common vernacular in use across Stela Mondo.

Esperanto is the official language used for trade and diplomacy between colonies within Stela Mondo. As a language, it is typically reserved for negotiations and legal proceedings, and government correspondence and record keeping.

However, it is only natural that some expressions have worked their way into the common language spoken across most of the colonies.

Common Expressions

The following are some examples of well-known expressions.

Havi grandan nebulon	Having a big nebula - Being confused or not understanding something.
Galaksi-halto	Galaxy stop - A quick stopover, especially on a long journey.
Fulmo-salto	Lightning jump - Quickly moving to another place or situation.
Kun stela koro	With a star heart - Being brave or courageous, especially in the face of danger.
Kometa spuro	Comet trail - Leaving a lasting impression or a mark after departing.
Spaco-malsaĝulo	Space fool - Someone who acts recklessly or foolishly in space.
Nebula kiso	Nebula kiss - A close call or near-miss.
Paroli en vortoj de asteroidoj	Speaking in asteroid words - Talking in a confusing or disjointed manner.
Raketo-movoj	Rocket moves - Fast, impressive maneuvers or quick actions.
Stela polv' en la vejnoj	Star dust in the veins - Being naturally adventurous or having a yearning for space travel.
Perdiĝi en la kosmo	Lost in space - Feeling disoriented, overwhelmed, or out of touch with reality.
Meteor-forto	Meteor force - A sudden burst of energy or strength, often surprising.
Sun-spektaklo	Sun show - An impressive or flashy display, often over-the-top.
Orbita spiralo	Orbital spiral - Going around in circles or stuck in a repetitive situation.
Kiel la komenco de supernovao	Like the beginning of a supernova - An intense start or rapid escalation.
Lasi la planedon	Leaving the planet - Giving up on a situation or walking away.
Planedo-kaptisto	Planet catcher - Someone who seizes opportunities or is successful at new ventures.
Perdi en la astro-lumo	Lost in starlight - Daydreaming or being overly optimistic.
Kosma korpulso	Cosmic pulse - A sudden change in circumstances or unexpected event.
Eklipso menso	Eclipse mind - Having a mental block or inability to focus.
Zono de Nebuloj	Belt of Nebulas - An area known for confusion or danger.
Sekvi la lunan kurson	Following the moon’s course - Doing things in an unusual or unpredictable way.
Kometo-salto	Comet jump - A sudden and rapid advancement or leap forward.
Kuiranta en la steloj	Cooking in the stars - Planning something big or ambitious.
Proksime al la evento horizonto	Close to the event horizon - On the edge of a major change or in a risky situation.
Vekiĝo en steloj	Awakening in the stars - A moment of sudden realization or epiphany.
Spiralo de asteroidoj	Asteroid spiral - A complex situation that’s hard to escape.
Flugi kun stela vento	Flying with the star wind - Going along with the flow or taking things as they come.
En la ombro de planedo	In the shadow of a planet - Operating behind the scenes or staying out of the spotlight.
Stela paco	Star peace - A calm, peaceful state of mind, often associated with deep relaxation.

Insults and Profanity

The following are some examples of common derogatory insults and profanity.

Malbenita	Damned - Someone cursed or regarded with contempt.
Fripono	Scoundrel - A dishonest or untrustworthy person.
Rabaĉulo	Scavenger - Someone who preys on others or takes advantage of them.
Hipokritulo	Hypocrite - Someone who pretends to have virtues they do not possess.
Senutilulo	Useless - Someone who contributes nothing of value.
Sendanka	Ungrateful - A person who doesn’t appreciate help or kindness shown to them.
Trompanto	Fraud - Someone who deceives or cheats others.
Malpurulo	Filthy - A person who is dirty or repulsive.
Maldigna	Unworthy - Someone considered to be beneath respect.
Aĉaĵo	Trash - Something worthless or despicable.
Stulta bovino	Dumb cow - A derogatory term for someone considered slow-witted or silly.
Spitinda	Despicable - Someone or something worthy of scorn or contempt.
Vanagaĉulo	Narcissist - A person who is excessively self-centered and vain.
Falsa profeto	False prophet - Someone who lies or misleads others, especially with false promises.
Malsekura fiulo	Insecure bastard - A contemptuous term for someone considered weak and untrustworthy.
Mallumulo	Dimwit - Someone perceived as lacking intelligence or brightness.
Malantaŭulo	Backstabber - A person who betrays or deceives others behind their back.
Ĉifono	Rag - A derogatory term for someone considered inferior or worthless.
Stulta simio	Stupid monkey - Insulting term for someone seen as foolish and primitive.
Ĉarlatano	Charlatan - Someone who pretends to have skills or knowledge they lack.
Malmoralulo	Degenerate - Someone regarded as morally corrupt or depraved.
